This was our first week back at Silver Eye Center for Photography since Winter Break. I was there for two days, and those two days weren't too busy. The exhibition that has been up since Halloween, Novi Dear, by Leonard Suryajaya, is in its closing weekend, so next week we will be taking everything down and uninstalling the show. On Friday, I met with Kate Kelley, my supervisor and the Assistant Curator at Silver Eye, and we talked about what is coming up at the gallery and what we should be preparing for. For the remainder of the day, I worked on an online exhibition I am preparing for Silver Eye's website. Since we are just staring back up, it was a slow day. On Saturday, I was the gallery attendant, so I manned the front desk. It was my job to greet people that entered the gallery and to help them to the best of my ability with any questions they could have. Not too many people came in during my shift, but those that did struck up conversation with my about the interesting work that we have on display.
